Hijab Stories Preview #1

assalam alaikum,

We are working on an audio project for hijab stories.

A preview is available below.

If you or someone you know have unique hijab stories to share, please contact us.

In-sha-Allah, we are seeking a wide range of stories. Currently, we are working on these:
-a convert sister, she is a closetted sister and her parents don't know. Everytime she has to pull out her drive way then puts on her hijab.
-one mother inspired to wear hijab after her teenager started to wear hijab in public school
-some muslim countries profile muslims as their race only, like one chinese sister in malaysia was wearing hijab in the majid, but everyone in the masjid was asking her, "Are you Muslim?"

Also non-hijabi stories, why don't they practice hijab? (nothing against them, but we want to understand them). Are they the real oppressed one, because they avoid hijab due to peer pressures?

Hope you can contribute, or at least spread the word.

Jazakum Allahu khairan

Organic trend in India!

In google trend, mumbia india comes 2nd ranked in Organic!!! Is indian going into the organic market?

----------------

My friend replied:

Its a trend for keyword searches.

That just means all the 1 million kandus who will be coming to the US are trying to find organic veggies to eat here :)

As far as india going organic ... I think almost 80% of the food is already organic... not everyone has the money to use expensive fertilizers.

Except maybe pepsi co. and coke.. they seem to have pesticides in them :)

Cheaper options for teleconference recording

Using Skype

Another one

If you scroll down of the above link you see the comment:

I think there's an easier way than this.

1) Skype Options, Handset, disable auto sound setting

2) Open Windows mixer, unmute the microphone. Set low. Set Wave Out
to the same level

3) Open Windows Mixer record, select Wave out mix. Set low.

4) Install Audacity with the Lame MP3 encoder

5) Set Audacity to 44Khz, 16 bit mono

6) Set MP3 encoding to 64K or 32 K

7) Start Audacity recording

8) Use Skype to call Echo123 for testing.

9) Stop recording, check it and then Export to MP3

10) Done.

The trick is geting the levels right so that there's no clipping. Audacity has lots of effects too. And it's all free.
